We transform your pet's ashes or fur into a certified sapphire or ruby, with the same hardness and beauty as natural gems.
We create genuine sapphires and rubies from the elements present in your pet's ashes or fur. Through a unique process that replicates natural geological conditions, we transform these elements into crystalline gemstones with Mohs hardness of 9, identical to those extracted from mines.
Each gemstone is completely unique, reflecting the individual chemical composition of your pet. They are not imitations or generic synthetics: they are real, certified gemstones.
Each process is scientifically monitored to ensure the resulting gemstone is completely real and durable. You receive a certificate of authenticity and traceability with each gemstone.

Each gemstone we create is a scientific expression of your love for your pet. Pure elements are transformed into crystals that will endure forever, with the hardness of the world's most beautiful natural gemstones.
The colours of sapphires and rubies depend on the natural elements present in your pet's ashes or fur. Each chemical composition is unique and generates a unique result.
From colourless and champagne to warm tones, peach and brown.
From soft pink to cherry red, deep red and deep crimson.
From ice blue to sky blue, royal blue and intense Klein blue.
Can I choose the colour I want? The colour of the sapphire or ruby is completely determined by the chemical composition of your pet's ashes or fur. This makes it truly unique and personalised. We conduct a preliminary analysis to inform you what colour range to expect.
We only need 50 grams of ashes or 10 grams of hair from your pet. The sample is registered, identified and safeguarded from the very first moment with a traceable and secure system.
Through a chemical process in our Austria laboratory, we extract and purify the elements that make your pet unique. These elements are prepared to integrate into the crystalline structure.
At over 2,300 °C, aluminium oxide fuses with the extracted elements to form a real sapphire or ruby. We monitor every phase of the process to guarantee maximum quality.
The newly formed crystal is cut to the highest standards. Each facet is worked at least four times, from pre-cutting to fine polishing. Our cutters examine the gemstone up to 700 times with magnification.
The gemstone is set in the piece of your choice: ring, pendant, earring or bracelet. We work with 14 kt gold (white, yellow or rose) and also in 18 kt or platinum upon request.
Each gemstone is delivered with a unique certificate that documents all its characteristics. The personalisation is scientifically verifiable: the unique elements of your pet are detected.
How is a sapphire or ruby created from pet ashes? The process begins with receiving a small sample (50 g of ash or 10 g of fur). In our Austria laboratory, we extract the unique chemical elements present in the sample. Aluminium oxide then fuses with these elements through a high-temperature process to form a corundum crystal, the mineral base of sapphires and rubies. The crystal is artisanally cut, certified and, if desired, set in a gold jewel.
Tell us what type of gemstone you desire: colour, cut, size and whether you want it set in jewellery. We advise you without obligation and send you a personalised quote.
We provide you with a secure shipping kit so you can send us the ash or fur sample. From the moment of receipt, each sample is registered with a unique code and kept in safe custody with complete traceability.
In our Austria laboratory, the process begins: element extraction, crystal growth, cutting and artisanal polishing. Your gemstone is created and set in the jewellery of your choice.
The gemstone is set in the piece selected by our collaborating goldsmiths. We work with 14 kt gold (white, yellow or rose). Also available in 18 kt and platinum. Total timeframe: approximately 2 months.
Each gemstone receives an individual certificate documenting its weight, colour, cut and unique characteristics. The presence of your pet's elements is scientifically verifiable and has been confirmed by several universities.
Your jewel with the gemstone set in the piece you have chosen is delivered in a special case, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and all traceability documentation. An intimate moment to reconnect with those no longer here, yet still shining.
How long does it take to create a commemorative sapphire or ruby? The timeframe for creating your commemorative jewel is approximately 2 months from receipt of the sample. Each piece includes the gemstone set in the jewellery of your choice (ring, pendant, earring or bracelet). Every step, from element extraction through cutting, certification and setting, is carried out with maximum craftsmanship in our Austria laboratory and in collaboration with local goldsmiths.

Which cut should I choose? All our cuts are available in any gemstone size, from 0.5 carat to 5 carats or more. The shape is purely aesthetic and does not affect the final price, which is based on the gemstone's weight in carats. We can show you mock-ups of each cut to help you decide.
The carat (ct) is the unit of weight for gems. The higher the carat weight, the larger the visible size, but the relationship is not proportional: a 1 ct gem is not twice the size of a 0.50 ct gem. This table shows the approximate measurements for the round brilliant cut in sapphires and rubies.
| Quilates | Approx. diameter | Size reference |
|---|---|---|
| 0,25 ct | 4,1 mm | Elegant and discreet. Ideal for delicate pendants and earrings. |
| 0,50 ct | 5,1 mm | Visible presence. The most popular size for solitaire rings. |
| 0,75 ct | 5,9 mm | Perfect balance between presence and elegance. |
| 1,00 ct | 6,5 mm | Rounded presence. The iconic size of the classic gemstone. |
| 1,50 ct | 7,4 mm | Exceptional. A piece of high visual impact. |
| 2,00 ct | 8,2 mm | Extraordinary. A jewel that captures all eyes. |
Indicative measurements for classic brilliant round cut. Other cuts (oval, marquise, pear) may appear larger at the same carat weight thanks to their elongated shape. Consult for more details.
What is the difference between a Sakti Atelier sapphire/ruby and a generic synthetic? Ours are created specifically from your pet's elements, making each gemstone completely unique and deeply meaningful. Generic synthetics are simply standard chemical processes without personalisation. Furthermore, ours have Mohs hardness of 9 (equal to natural stones), whereas many generic synthetics have lower hardness.
